Details of your account and relationship with Open Veld are provided
in the Service Agreement presented for your review before you completed
your order. In addition, you were e-mailed a copy of the Service
Agreement as part of an e-mail entitled, "Confirmation of your order."
Thus we will review here only the highlights of payment, refunds, and
renewals.
Your e-mail
address is very important to us, because it is usually the main way we
will contact you regarding your account. Please notify us at support1@veld.com
if your e-mail address changes, if you are having problems receiving e-mail,
or if you do not have e-mail.
Payment
All
payments for services (e.g., setup fees, web hosting, and web design)
must be paid to Open Veld in US dollars. Prices and hosting features
were posted at http://veld.com/prices/
at the time of your order. Open Veld may change posted prices and
features for future accounts and renewals of existing accounts,
without notice. In the unlikely event that there is an increase
in price or reduction in services, you will be notified at least 30 days
before the renewal date. Open Veld is not obligated to notify you
of decreases in price, except you will automatically be given the new
posted terms for future services, starting at the time of renewal.
Web
design prices are negotiated on an individual basis, and are not part
of any hosting plan.
Payment
for domain name registration must be made by the customer to Network Solutions,
and are separate from any services by Open Veld.
The
setup fee and first month of hosting, if any, must be paid before the
account is established. Payment to Open Veld may be made by check,
Visa or Master Card, or a combination of check and credit card.
The hosting portion of long-term (6-months or longer) accounts is sold
at a discount below the posted prices, provided that the entire setup
and hosting are paid in advance (within 21 days after the starting day
of the account). Because we do not make credit charges for future
services, more than 30 days in advance, the most reasonable way to establish
an account with Open Veld is to secure the domain registration and hosting
by paying with a credit card for the setup and first month, then mail
a check for the balance to: Open Veld, P. O. Box 290067, Fort Lauderdale,
FL 33329. This qualifies for the full discount, depending
on the length of the plan. However, a check for the balance of the
hosting must be received by Open Veld within 21 days after the account
is established.
Refund policy
Open
Veld hosting plans carry a 21-day money back guarantee, excluding setup
fees. If you are not completely satisfied with our hosting services
within the first 21 days of your contract, you will be given a full refund
of the contract amount excluding setup fees. And you must
let us know, in writing, of your cancellation, preferably by writing to
sales1@veld.com
Setup
fees are refundable for the following reasons only:
(1)
the account order is canceled prior to activation; or
(2) the domain name
was not available.
No
refund is available after the 21st day. Additional services such
data transfer overages, disk space, pop accounts, etc. are nonrefundable.
All cancellations for hosting must be received in writing; regular mail
and e-mail notifications are acceptable. Phone requests will not
constitute acceptance of any cancellation.
Renewals
Hosting
accounts renew automatically unless:
(1)
customer informs Open Veld of termination within 30 days prior to the
renewal date; or
(2) Open Veld
informs the customer of termination within 30 days prior to the renewal
date.
In
the case of renewals, payment in full must be received by Open Veld on
the day of renewal. Renewals of web hosting contracts will be refunded
if Open Veld is notified within the first 5 days following renewal date.
No refunds will be granted for notifications received after this date.
